So there are a number of goals we are aiming for on the National Express East Coast.
To make travel simpler
- Easier to find and book tickets.
- To become industry leaders in punctuality and reliability.
- Faster journey times and better performance.
Provide a world class customer service
- Introduction of technology to provide customers with easier ticket purchase and improved journey quality.
Introduce more services
- A new train service (direct service from Lincoln to London from 2009) and more trains to current destinations.

Make improvements to the trains
- Investment in rolling stock to make them more attractive and more reliable.
Station enhancements and security
- Investment in stations, in CCTV and station ticket gating.
Improve car parking
- New technology to make payments easier and provide many more spaces.
Improving information at stations
- Real time information through new technology.
Introduce new fares and ticketing opportunities
A responsible approach to the environment
All these changes will not be seen immediately but we are confident as we go into 2008 customers will begin to notice a positive change reflecting our commitment to further improving the quality of travel on the East Coast.
